About Unity Edge Sports
Unity Edge Sports was created to provide structured, supportive sports-based movement sessions for youth with developmental and learning differences. Sports-based activities are used as a tool for engagement, participation, coordination, and active movement in a calm setting.
The focus is not competition, athlete development, or formal sports training. This is not a league, not a competitive sports program, and not a therapy clinic. It is an outside-led movement program designed for organizations that want a practical, manageable physical activity option for the youth they serve.
What Sessions Focus On
Sessions are designed to help participants stay involved through simple, guided activities.
Movement tasks may include target activities, one-ball teamwork, guided participation tasks, and structured games.
The format encourages consistent movement in a supportive, non-competitive setting.
Activities are adapted to support involvement across mixed ability levels and support needs.
Each session follows a clear format that works well for schools, programs, clinics, and centres.
Small-group programming is designed to feel calm, manageable, and organization-friendly.
Who It's For
Unity Edge Sports is built for organizations looking for a structured physical activity option for youth with developmental and learning differences.
Ages 6–18, depending on group needs and support level.
Usually 6–12 participants.
Support staff from the organization or school are encouraged to be present during sessions as needed.
Program Format
Sessions typically run 30–45 minutes depending on the needs of the group. The format is structured to keep participants engaged, supported, and active without creating a competitive environment.
Sessions can be delivered at a school, clinic, or organization, or in a community or partner facility with appropriate space. Each session follows a simple, repeatable structure that can be adapted to the group over time.
Why Organizations Use Unity Edge Sports
Organizations can add a dedicated movement block without asking internal staff to design and lead the entire activity themselves.
Activities can be adjusted based on group size, support level, energy, and available space.
The focus stays on engagement, movement, and structured involvement rather than performance or sport outcomes.
The format is designed to work in real organizational settings where structure, pacing, and staff support matter.
A free pilot session gives organizations a chance to see how the format works with their group before committing to paid programming.
Paid programming is delivered in structured 4-session blocks rather than one-off casual visits.
Free Pilot Session
Unity Edge Sports currently offers a free 30-minute pilot session for new organizations interested in exploring a structured sports-based movement program for their group.
If the pilot feels like a fit, organizations can continue through a paid 4-session block. This gives the group time to experience the format consistently and allows the sessions to be adapted more effectively over multiple visits.
Program Options
New organizations can begin with a free 30-minute pilot session. If the pilot is a fit, all paid programming is booked in 4-session blocks.
